These are super easy and fun to make. They are great to snack during the day and it's a great healthy substitute for something sweet. They are full of nutrients and will give you that extra energy you need.
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
250g pitted dates (you buy them in 250g bricks)
2 Tbsp of nuts (I used almonds)
1/2 cup of puffed rice
2 Tbsp of nut butter (I used sugar-free peanut butter)
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
Coating:
You can add your own choice of coatings. I used cocoa powder and coconut shavings.
Method:
1. Put the dates, nuts, nut butter and cocoa powder into a mixer.
2. Blend until all the ingredients are combined.
3. Add the puffed rice and mix by hand.
4. Roll mixture into bite-size balls with your hands.
5. Coat your date balls.
6. Enjoy!
You can store your date balls in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
